Milan 2017 great succes

During the Salone del Mobile in Milan of 2017 a large bouquet of flowers made by Linda Nieuwstad could be seen in the Pallazzo Francesco Turati in the city center. While ascending the impressive stairs to the first floor, you could not miss her roses, hyacinths or primroses. Her work did not go unnoticed, the Il Giornale, an Italian national newspaper published a large picture of her bouquet on page 2 of their Milan issue (80.000 copies). And one of the employees of the trade center housed in the Pallazzo was overwhelmed by her work every day, he claimed the bouquet should stay in the Pallazzo forever.

Linda Nieuwstad often finds her inspiration in museums in the Netherlands filled with Dutch paintings and objects from the past. In one of these museums she discovered Dutch porcelain manufactured in the 18th century decorated with a wide variety of flowers. For the exhibition at Masterly – the Dutch in Milano, she made a bouquet entirely based on these decorations. Read her story and find out more about her discovery.
