My work at Helmond Castle

Until the 29th of October 2023 some of my works are on view at Museum Helmond. For almost 700 years, Helmond Castle (Kasteel Helmond), the largest moated castle in the Netherlands, has stood in the heart of the city. In this exhibition we ‘frame’ the rich past of the castle and garden with my own contemporary work.

Working with residents

As a nod to the flowers that used to bloom around the castle, I’m creating a new flower still life from Vlisco fabrics, famous for the colorful Dutch Wax Prints that are loved in West Africa in collaboration with residents of Helmond. The result comes to fruition in various phases during the exhibition. Stay tuned for photos of this wonderful project!
