Flowers for Forbo Dutch Design Week 2017

When Forbo asked me if I could make flowers out of  linoleum I was not sure if I could do the job. Linoleum is known for its toughness and it is as flat as any floor. But after some tests in my studio the linoleum started to grow on me, and all of the sudden, there it was: a flower made of linoleum. Since linoleum is partly made of linseed oil, my design for Forbo is inspired on the flax plant that produces linseed oil. During the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, you can find the flower at the Forbo presentation in the Klokgebouw. For more pictures, click here
