Cabbage rose

For the exhibition: ‘The Smell of Succes: Gerard & Cornelis van Spaendonck, Painters of Flowers in Paris”, the Het Noord Brabants Museum commissioned LINDA NIEUWSTAD to build a giant 3D version of the painting.

The flowers are made of woolen blankets that used to be manufactured in Brabant. For the cabbage rose LINDA NIEUWSTAD collected 21 woolen blankets in de province of Brabant and Gelderland.
