Interior designers Marleen Peijnenburg and Nella van Braam asked me to make flowers arrangements for two large conference tables for an office space of a Dutch insurance company in Amsterdam. The flowers were not supposed to be higher then 25 cm, otherwise the members of the executive board would not be able to see each other at the opposite end of the table. This gave me the idea to base the flower arrangements on the paintings by Daniel Seghers (1590-1661). He painted some beautiful flat garlands of flowers around portraits.
