Forbo, the Dutch flooring company, challenged me to make large sized flowers out of linoleum. To be honest, I was not sure if I clould do the job. Linoleum is known for its toughness and it is as flat as any floor. But after some tests in my studio the linoleum started to grow on me, and all of the sudden, there it was: a flower made of linoleum. Since linoleum is partly made of linseed oil, my design for Forbo is inspired on the flax plant that produces linseed oil.
